Work-related letters are acceptable, but for recent graduates of academic programs, we prefer at least two letters from former professors. Not-so-recent graduates are allowed to substitute work-related recommendations, but should still try to obtain at least one letter of recommendation from a former professor. Once their email address is entered, your letter writer will receive a system generated email detailing how to upload the letter. Recommendation Letter: Recommendation letters Three letters of recommendation from persons well-acquainted with your academic work are required. At least one of these letters should be from an undergraduate advisor, major professor, or department chair who appraises the applicant's capabilities for graduate work. For PhD applicants, one of the three letters should be from the major advisor at the graduate level. For instructions on uploading these letters, click on the Recommendations link in Apply Yourself. In one page or less (single-spaced), describe the following: (1) interests in MTSS and evidence-based practice, and serving high-need children with or at risk for disabilities, and (2) proposed specialty area(s).
