　　佛罗里达州立大学提供十分灵活、方便、价廉的meal plans，学生无论是住在校内的还是校外的都可以购买。Meal plans是在校园中吃放最经济实惠的方法，提供给学生最大的折扣。另外学生除了可以在食堂中使用外，还可以去别的餐馆使用，比如星巴克、棒约翰等等。

　　这里有政府办公区，新建的和古老的国会大厦，一座文化中心和大量的居民。现在。市区里有很多穿着营业制服的政府工作人员――他们中的大多数人都非常喜欢当地一家非常有名的酒吧――克莱德斯。当这些穿着制服的人回家之后，佛罗里达州大学的学生就会光顾这条街和一些酒吧。这座古老的市区的边界南部是斯库尔国会大厦，西部是亚当斯大街，东部是门罗，北部是停车场。大多数的建筑都是石砌的，历史可以追溯到1844年，那时这座城市被战火销毁。为了到达这里探险，你应该从大学大街和盘萨库拉街中间的一条用石头铺成的路―亚当斯街，这条路上有饭店、商店和事务所。

　　佛罗里达州陆海空交通都很发达，有公路14万公里，铁路7000公里，内河航道1600公里，13个深水港，20个具有定期航线的机场，6座国际机场。以迈阿密为起点的跨海公路，用桥梁连接一长列沿海岛屿，最后到达最南端的岛城基韦斯特，全长250公里，是世界上最长的跨海公路。

　　周边企业

　　旅游业、制造业和农业为佛罗里达州经济三大支柱。旅游业为经济第一支柱。大西洋岸迈阿密附近有黄金海岸之称，其沙滩豪华、宾馆林立，为游客云集之处。奥兰多附近的迪斯尼世界为世界规模最大的现代化游乐场。制造业中最大的部门是食品加工，其次电子、仪表、木材加工、化学、造纸、金属制品等也颇具规模。制造业中心有杰克逊维尔、奥兰多及迈阿密等。

　　佛罗里达大学有自己的警察部门来保护学生及教职工的安全，有一个专门的巡逻小队，是由将近40个尽职的警官所组成，24小时巡逻来维持校园的治安。
