A Statement of Interest is a detailed statement of goals and objectives in pursuing an advanced degree and a discussion of specific interests within a research group. This must be included in your online application and not as a separate document.
Recommendation Letter:
Upon completion of your online application your referees will be sent an email notifying them that you have selected them as a referee with instructions on how to upload their reference letter. This email is typically an overnight process, so can take over 24 hours to be sent after your application is submitted. Please ensure that your referees are academics (professors, lecturers). It is advisable that you contact your referees prior to applying so they have some advance notice and can start preparing a letter before you apply. Referees will need to complete the reference form in addition to their reference letter.
Research Proposal:
This is a one page summary (plus references) of a project you would like to conduct and how you would plan on carrying out this research. This is a separate document that you will upload after applying. |

Send the documents directly to the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Transcripts and degree certificates issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by certified, word-for-word English translations. To be considered official, all academic records must be received by the department in envelopes that have been sealed and endorsed by the issuing institution. Transcripts received from applicants or any other third party will be considered unofficial.
Recommendation Letter:
Two references are required from referees prepared to provide a report. Your referees will be asked to supply a reference for you via an online upload. You will need to know your referee's email addresses when you apply for admission.
Upon submission of your application, your referees will be sent an email containing the reference request and the appropriate link to the required documents. Reference requirements are individual to each graduate program and the requirements are specified in the link contained in the email.
